ABOUT US

Matthew and Sherrie Moore came to Richmond, Virginia in 1992, responding to an invitation from the Lord to serve in a local Messianic congregation.  It was during their service among the Jewish people that God called them to gather intercessors in the city for corporate prayer.  After sending out 30 invitations, over 220 from various church backgrounds gathered.  This meeting became a launching pad for their ministry to larger Body of Christ.  Matthew and Sherrie are convinced that God has specific callings for cities and regions .  These gatherings grew to birth such initiatives as Pray Richmond (multi-church 40 day period of prayer and fasting), numerous prayer events and training seminars and conferences focused on community transformation.

Through their work with the corporate church, Matthew and Sherrie founded the Richmond Int'l House of Prayer and Encounter (RIHOPE) which is a day and night prayer center in the heart of Richmond, Virginia which is "by the city, for the city". They have developed a team of young leaders that are committed to engaging the Lord in intimacy and intercession, encountering the community in acts of mercy and service, and shifting the society in which they live.  For more information, go to rihope.us.

Sherrie has recently accepted the role as the Virginia State Coordinator for the Reformation Prayer Network and the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network.  In this capacity, she will continue to link pastors, leaders, and intercessors across Virginia for united prayer and action with the goal of societal reformation and revival.
